Booger Red Redux

After my last posting, I got curious how Red's memorial is doing, as I hadn't been by in a couple of years (or more.) Also, I was looking for someplace to ride and get a couple of hundred miles on today.

He's doing well.  He's in fact been upgraded with a ring of solar-charged lights, as well as lights on the concrete slab itself. New flags -- even new boots.  Fifteen years later, and someone still gives a shit.  Huh.  Nothing's forever, but it would be cool to do that well.

Visiting With Red Today...

In Our Next Episode: OK, break into your assigned small discussion groups. Read, analyze, and discuss. We'll take this up at a later time...

“It makes no difference what men think of war, said the judge. War endures. As well ask men what they think of stone. War was always here. Before man was, war waited for him. The ultimate trade awaiting its ultimate practitioner. That is the way it was and will be. That way and not some other way."
