I'll be back along in a bit. I've just discovered that the granddaughter (the one who I said is probably most like me) is a writer, and she's been asking me for reads and advice.
My first advice to her, of course, is to not get distracted by non-writer stuff. Given the example I'm providing I'm not expecting that bit of counsel to stick much.

Anyhow, for her and for you: Patience. The writing always insists, eventually. After all, if focus was something I was good at, I'd put out more than three or four blog posts per month, right?
