Headline today:
Seattle becomes the first city in the US to ban caste discrimination
Well, I'm glad that a major city which is rapidly approaching "Filthy International Joke Scrawled On A Reeking Outhouse Wall" status has managed to get a handle on an IMPORTANT problem that, Gawd knows, probably affects upwards of 8-10 people in the Sea/Tac Metro area.
Here's a plan: If you move to the US to escape your caste-ridden shithole of a country and then insist on living in a caste-ridden shithole of a culture when you get here, that strikes me as YOUR problem.
Do you SERIOUSLY think that a Seattle law "promoting" you from the caste of corpse-handlers into the caste of "snotty middle-class motel manager" is going to have any slightest effect whatsoever? How about if you walk away from that 7-11 owner and just deal with the 99.999999999% of Americans who wouldn't know what a "caste" was if it walked up and bit them squarely on the ass, instead of wasting time and effort on this goofy shit?
Who's going to define what a "caste" is? Who's going to decide whether you're part of one to figure out whether you've been discriminated against? Who's going to be the caste police? Will you need a caste ID card to identify yourself as an "Untouchable" in order to enforce your fair housing claims? Do I have to be part of a shithole country's caste system before I can make a claim, or is Seattle just going to go ahead and divide the population into castes in order to make this work?
Fucking morons.
Speaking of which, if you want a caste definition actual Americans will understand, there's this --
There is no one more offensive, more morally bankrupt, more generationally and genetically corrupt, or more generally known to be an underclass that you wouldn't allow to touch the hem of your clothing than sewer-dwellers associated or suspected to have associated in any fashion whatsoever with the political pariahs and hairballs running the city halls of Seattle, Portland, or San Francisco.
Even immigrants whose families have been in the lowest reaches of "Dalit/Untouchable" for centuries of generations can feel justifiably superior to these bottom-feeders AND, bolstering the recommendation above, find themselves in instant agreement with the 99.999999999% of Americans who have a lick of sense...

That was oddly... satisfying. I hated Seattle. Fucking HATED IT. It was dirty and disgusting and horrible, with the absolute worst traffic signs/system ever, plus they shoveled that insane "port tax" onto everything. And the rental car people were mean to me. FUCK THEM!
ReplyDeleteNow that my sweet daughter and her hubs have left the Bay Area it'll be a long time (aka never) that I return for a visit. Well, unless the buffoons up there manage to clean it up. Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha!
That's really the annoying part. I'm a long-term "you want to fuck up your entire life as well as your own nest that you're shitting in, proceed forthwith" believer. My only argument with the brain-damaged satan-spawn in those places is (a) they keep trying to make me do it, too too, and (b) they've managed to fuck up what are arguably the most beautiful cities in the US while they were at it.
DeleteHow these droning political hacks and their mouth-breathing constituencies managed to cluster into populations sufficient to amount to the importance of a jar of warm spit remains rather a mystery. How is it that they aren't just respectably dying out like flies, starving, sunburnt, and sand-blasted in their 60s-style communes in the New Mexico desert instead of clustering into cities and fucking up the lives of actual humans? A question worthy of a university research project, innit?
If I recall the statistics correctly, just the fatality rate of roaming revolutionary mime groups performing at the starving and chanting drum-circles for their thin lentil-bean suppers was simultaneously horrendous and pretty funny, not to mention more than sufficient to fall below the "survivability of the species" threshold.
But, like locusts, they're on some kind of cycle that drops their population to near zero and everyone forgets about them, then the almost magically reappear in sun-blocking clouds, consuming everything in their path.
A miracle of nature, no doubt. Clearly we should have been using some of that COVID money to research new insecticides.
You don't find people living on the streets of Boise and Helena, do you? Ship the homeless there and let them figure out how to get jobs and stay inside like normal people instead of shooting up and shitting all over parks. The issue is that all the slackers are at the coasts where it's possible not to freeze to death in a blanket on a bench.
DeleteWell, see, now you're advocating for them to make the least effort possible to marginally survive. You're gonna piss off all of 'em who, after some life epiphany, now identify as infants wholly dependent on adults to not let them die. Seattle outlawed that sort of criminal discrimination against the pan-infitide community years ago...
